

I've noticed that if I work on something that after a few minutes of varying the speed it's hard to be objective. When I sped it up 2%-3% it sounds like it could be from 1963/64, which is what many people have claimed about this recording. In it's 'usual' state I always assumed it was from the Dakota sessions. Pros: Goldwave has retained the same basic look and features over the last 20 years, which is mostly a good thing. There's a Lennon version of I'm In Love floating around. I've also speed corrected some bootleg items that were obviously at the wrong speed, like some of the Beatles Decca Audition stuff. WavePad has virtually every effect and filter we looked for in audio editors. In my opinion it didn't lose anything by the change. I slowed it down by 3% (without any pitch correction) and it sounds much more natural. Listening to The Voice from Long Distance Voyager (Moody Blues) one day it struck me that the track sounded way sped up. WavePad Masters Edition is Very Good Total. Cons - The program lacks a media burning tool, something that’s commonplace for this kind of software. Pros + It offers non-destructive sound editing with batch processing. Some of the adjustments I made were these: Edit audio, convert text to speech, and add sound effects to any sound file you want Free Demo. GoldWave has an easy-to-use and customizable interface, and its ability to process and edit with any audio source makes it a stellar choice. I've played with it and thought it sounded pretty good but some of the adjustments weren't intuitive and I was simply going by trial and error - I simply don't understand what some of the terminology & measurements are. The software feature is called Time-warp in Goldwave and it says for the best sounding results to not adjust the pitch.
